Would someone please tell me if I can import into WealthLab some mathematical calculations that I currently have working within an Excel spreadsheet?

The calculations use some pre-programmed Excel functions (e.g., exponential function, probability distributions), some parameters that I input manually, and market prices that I also input by hand (e.g., current S&P 500 level, current T-bill rates). The calculations produce an indicator that I use to take and adjust actual positions.

I'd like to bring my Excel calculations into WealthLab so that the calculations could run in "real time" automatically, without my having to manually input market prices into Excel as they change. Does WealthLab have the functionality/flexibility that would let me do this? If so, what documentation should I look at (in the User Guide or elsewhere) in order to achieve the cross-over? Thank you.

Yes, this all is possible. Probability distributions will require some coding first but it's no big deal since there's libraries like ALGLIB to help that.

FAQ: How do I get started learning Wealth-Lab?
How do I start with C# ?

Feel free to ask more questions along the way for more pointers or help with code parts / design.

Thank you for your reply. Now that I know this is possible, I'm trying to figure out how to get started.

Are there any code examples or templates that I could use as a guide, or will all of this have to be done from scratch? Ideally, I'd love to find some existing code that performs simple calculations that run and display via the WealthLab platform, and then adjust that code accordingly with VB code taken from my Excel spreadsheet. Is that a viable way to think about doing this, or is another mind-set/approach required? Many thanks.

Examples of what exactly would you like to see? What stands for "all this"? As there are too many examples out there, some refinement is required with regard to the rules and conditions you'd like to try to put together in WealthScript.
