Unable to run Wealth-Lab 6.6: TypeInitialization error in ChartControl

I am a Fidelity user and have used Wealth-Lab 6.2 for quite sometime. Last weekend I decided to upgrade to Wealth-Lab 6.6 (64-bit) on my Windows 7 machine. The installation was successful but I can not launch the application. Here is the error message:

This error was first discovered when WLP users started upgrading to 6.5. So far it affects WLP users only. The cause is still undetermined but it's easy to fix this problem by doing as advised in the Knowledge Base:

Wealth-Lab Wiki > Errors | General > Wealth-Lab Pro 6.5 crashes on start with System.TypeInitialization in WealthLab.ChartControl

In general, don't hesitate to search for solutions in the Wiki. Usually, you'll find them there for most of typical error messages.
