In attempting to convert WLP4.5 scripts to WLP6.0 strategies with the WealthScriptTranslator, some convert and can be read into 6.0 without error, some convert and load into 6.0 with error messages, and some do not convert at all.

Is there a way to handle those scripts that do not convert at all?

In attempting to backup WLP4.5 scripts to text files, the message appears “Backup of Screens Failed”. My Scripts are located in a number of subdirectories. What is the answer to this problem?

Will the WealthScriptTranslator be available for years so that those 4.5 files that did not convert can be read as Text files?

Almost sure, by manual translation - if they don't make heavy use of unsupported methods (e.g. LinearRegPredict) and/or concepts (like "interacting with equity curve").

Is this really a problem? I don't think so. Screens are not supported in Version 6 (although you can code a "screen" yourself, but old screens do not get translated anyway by WSTL.)

As long as you have the WSTL's installer file and keep that chartscript backup folder, they both will be available for years. The scripts are stored in plain text format files and can be opened in any text editor.
