Data Manager Problem?
When you create a dataset on fly using the 'new' from the dataset menu pane on left, the new dataset appears in the left dataset pan as it should.
However, when you go to the Tools=>Data manager, the newly created dataset does not appear, you have to close the WLP and restart for it to appear in the Data Manager. I need to use data manger to update the dataset with current value. Since it seems like the fidelity server does not seem to do decent job 'on demand' data. Specially when those symbols aren't up date.

Since this is the first time I hear about a DataSet not appearing in the Data Manager, you have to make me believe by attaching a screenshot (which would also provide the missing pieces e.g. which data provider, properties etc) of the DataSets tree vs. the Data Manager. tia.

I created a dataset 0000Dataset with symbols A, AA
Left dataset pan has the 0000Dataset

This is the data manger no 0000Dataset

This is after restarting the WLP, you can see the dataset 0000Dataset in data manager.

Look for the newly created "0000DataSet" at the bottom of the Data Manager's list. You seem to have quite a lot of DataSets, no wonder you didn't notice it there. Voila.

It's a glitch that DataSets get sorted by the DM only after restart, but now you know where to look for it.
