the User Guide says: "Custom Fields currently work only in the data's native time frame. For example, if you have a daily DataSet, Custom Field data is not available if you switch to Weekly scale from the toolbar."

several questions:
1. Is that still true

2. If so, is there a workaround? Can an operation be performed on the custom dataseries (multiply by 1) turning it into another data series that would be accessible in a different time frame?

3. If not above, does the time scale work both ways, in other words, if i have daily data that with a custom field, and i compress the data to minute bars will i be able to access the data on the minute bars?

1 - Looks like a remnant from Version 4 to me? It works with ASCII data, I've just checked it again in both 5.1 and 5.3 to be sure.
2 - N/A
3 - Data can't be compressed down, just up (minutes to daily).
