Is there a specific directory that where the extensions should be loaded?
When it asks me where to save it, it is currently looking to place it in
another product's directory.

So the answer is: it doesn't actually matter where Wealth-Lab stores extensions. The WLE files you're downloading from our website are not extensions themselves - these are "proxy", "bootstrap" files. Store them wherever you want, use them to install as the online help instructs to and delete afterwards.
