I want to create a dropdown list containing the symbols that are in the dataset selected. From that dropdown list I want to be able to select symbols that I want to process in my strategy. I want my strategy to then determine the symbols selected in the dropdown list and to perform actions on the selected symbols.
Can anyone give me some direction to either documentation about how to do this or maybe better yet to an example?

You need a Windows form to place a visual control, like a dropdown list. Anyway, this isn't really a feasible option.
Go to Extensions, find the Aronow Provider, install, and use it to create subsets of DataSets. Then you can use Wealth-Lab as it was designed to run your scripts on symbols in the Data Tree.
