Hello,

In a future software upgrade, these 3 small features would be nice:

1. Be able to delete individual trade alerts in the bottom pane of the Strategy Monitor.

2. In the Add A Price Trigger option of the Quotes window, add the ability to place an order to Paper Accounts, not just Live accounts. Paper Accounts are integrated into every other feature of the software, why not Quotes?

3. Delete the empty entry in the Quotes window. This is here by default when the program starts for the first time.

Please advise if there are any technical reasons for these. Thank you.

Hi Kevin,

1 - What for? You can choose some Alerts to send to the Orders tool or delete unwanted Alerts there.

2 - It is already there. Please refer to the User Guide > Quotes > Quotes for Paper Trading on how to get Quotes working for Paper trading. The approach may seem somewhat counter-intuitive but that's the design.

3 - Never noticed any empty entries. Could you attach a screenshot to illustrate it?

Regarding #1, Here is a screen shot of my options. I am not able to delete an alert. How do I delete an alert? Thanks.

Sorry for not being clear. You are not supposed to be able to delete Alerts in the SM. What I was talking about is that you can either filter them before sending to the Orders tool or delete them there.

Regarding #2, Thank You. What I did was create a new workspace. To get the Quotes (Paper Trading) window, I right-clicked an alert in the Alert pane of the SM and chose "Monitor Alert in Quote Window". I then saved my workspace layout. I tested it by shutting everything down and reopening my new workspace, and there was the Quotes (Paper Trading) window.

Is there any other way to load up a Quotes (Paper Trading) window?

Regarding #3, The problem happens when you load up a saved workspace with a Quotes window in the saved workspace. I see that when you load a fresh Quote window without loading a workspace, there is no blank entry. Try it.

This is a minor issue, but it does take up needed space on the Quote window. I am in the habit of deleting the blank entry after loading the workspace. Hopefully, it will be added to the to do list for the next release.

Eugene: Thank you for the help.

No. The only ways to populate a Quotes (Paper Trading) window is to: 1) click Monitor Alerts from Strategy windows associated with Paper Accounts, and, 2) Add Quotes or Price Triggers manually.

Re: 3
It's not possible to save a list of quotes between Wealth-Lab sessions. The Quotes tool is an end-of-day trading tool, and its primary use is to assist with order entry for stop and limit strategies, which typically generate new order prices each day. If you want to use Quotes to simply monitor a static list of instruments, keep a list of symbols handy that you can paste into the "Add Symbols to Quotes" dialog.

Thank you for the information Cone.

About #3, I'm trying to explain a small problem: a blank entry is populated in the Quotes tool after loading a workspace. The Quotes tool has to be a window saved in the workspace. I always find myself deleting the blank entry in the Quotes window after I load my workspace. It takes up one space that could be used for a ticker. Please try it so that you can see what I am talking about. I know this is not a big deal, but I thought maybe it can be fixed in the next software upgrade.

The "New Main Workspace Window" is the key. I confirm the blank entry. Will submit a bug report. Thank you for the heads-up Kevin.
